HR Management Challenges for a Growing IT Consulting Firm in Dubai

Managing HR operations for a professional services team comes with its own specific challenges, particularly when employees work across different client projects, shift patterns, and service arrangements. Prime Star identified four core problems that needed to be solved:

1. No Centralised Employee Records or Document Management: Employee contracts, visa documents, and HR records were stored across different folders and systems with no centralised database. There were no automated alerts for document expiries, visa renewals, or contract end dates, creating compliance risks that required manual monitoring.

2. Shift Allocation Was Managed Manually: IT consulting staff working across different client projects and service shifts had no structured system for scheduling and tracking shift assignments. Manual coordination was time-consuming and made it difficult to report on actual hours worked versus scheduled hours at the end of each month.

3. Leave and Payroll Processes Were Disconnected: Leave requests were handled informally, and there was no system that connected approved leave balances directly into payroll calculations.
